APPLE JUICE - MAPLE SYRUP - FRESH MINT - BITTERS
We’ve taken the historic bourbon classic and made things super simple, letting the natural, raw botanicals in Feragaia’s astounding alcohol-free spirit and the zesty, lemon and mint of Bax Botanics do all the leg work for you.
A touch of apple juice perfectly ties the two together and a little maple syrup brings some depth and rich, woody sweetness to the party.
Not too tricky
Unlike many julep recipes, this backyard twist avoids using fresh mint in the drink itself. For an extra minty tingle, combine all the ingredients except the ice in a glass with a couple of bruised mint sprigs a few hours before serving to intensify the flavour.
The recipe also calls for crushed ice, but if you don’t have an ice crusher it will work fine without - but the drink will be shorter and more intense in flavour.
Pour the Feragaia, Bax Botanics Verbena, apple juice and maple syrup into the tin or serving glass.
Half fill with crushed ice and stir.
Top again with crushed ice and stir again.
Repeat the process until the cup is full, garnish with the mint and a couple dashes of bitters.
