2. WHY DOES DRINK BRIGHT STORE MY PERSONAL INFORMATION?

2.1 Drink Bright will record and store the personal information you submit since we have a ‘legitimate interest’ to do so: to provide you with our services. This is our legal justification for processing your personal data.

2.2 We will try to minimise the amount of data we collect, and many details are optional – you don’t have to tell us if you don’t want to.

3. WHO CAN SEE MY PERSONAL INFORMATION?

None of your information is ever visible to other users or third parties without your explicit consent.

4. WHO CAN ACCESS MY INFORMATION AND HOW?

4.1 By using the Website and/or any of the associated Website Subscription or Contact Forms, or Contact Email Address, you agree to your data collected by Drink Bright and being used for service evaluation and research by Drink Bright.

4.2 We will only pass on results of any research or collective data onto third parties at our discretion and with anonymity ensured to all of our Subscribers. See points 5 and 6 for more specific examples of how collective data may be used by Drink Bright.

5. DRINK BRIGHT USE OF DATA

5.1 We will use the data from the Website to improve our services. This includes usage statistics, analysis and evaluations of how our members use the Website and how they benefit from it.

5.2 The results and findings from these may be shared internally at Drink Bright, with our funders and other stakeholders, or with the general public. None of your identifiable personal information will ever be shared without your prior written consent.

6. PARTNER ORGANISATIONS

6.1 We may share with our partner organisations and others anonymised and collective data from the Website about users.

6.2 Such partners will always be required to abide by the same data protection measures as Drink Bright does. You will never be identified in research undertaken by Drink Bright or collective data shared with anyone else.

7. DRINK BRIGHT AND THIRD PARTY RELATIONSHIPS

7.1 Drink Bright currently offers a free to use service. Third-party service providers and online vendors may occasionally pay us an affiliate fee if you click on a link to their website and use their services.

7.2 We do not use this, or any other arrangement, to sell your details to third parties.

8. DATA RETENTION

8.1 We only retain personal data for as long as we need it, in most cases that is to provide relevant services to our members and other customers.

8.2 If possible, and if it is not deemed necessary for the purposes of providing a relevant service or maintaining the quality of our services, we will anonymise data that we store.

8.3 We will always endeavour to minimise the number of live databases and retention of duplicate sets of information. We may occasionally have multiple files containing duplicate information if the files are deemed to offer significantly different overviews or are to be used for significantly different purposes in a way that they cannot be merged.

8.4 Any out of date or redundant databases will be securely erased at the earliest opportunity.
